What is the PUQ?
The Power User Questionnaire is a light-hearted
10-question quiz that attempts to quantify people's relationships
with their pilots*.
Quiz scores (including Bonuses) are categorized:
"Palm/Pilot owner"; "Piloteer"; or "Power
User".
Who should take the PUQ?
Part self-help group, part gathering of techno
minds; anyone who has found that their pilot is a little more
than a Connected Organizer (tm) might have fun.
Why, the prestigious PUQ Hall of Fame of course,
what did you think it could be?
It has been somewhat of an "in joke"
among the regulars at the #pilot-pda
chat, (many of whom are members of this eclectic group).
Because of all the pictures and web site logos
on it, this page is also a bit of a bandwidth pig (>300kb).
For the bandwidth- or patience-challenged, there is now a PUQ-HoF
Lite.
It is also a d*mn fine collection of links, as
more than half of the members also have pilot-related web sites
linked to from here :-)

Don't fret over it. Just pick whatever description
you feel fits you best.
What are these "Karmic" Points?
These have no effect on your PUQ score - they do,
however, reflect contributions to the pilot community, and are
worth lots of pats on the back :-)
What if my PUQ score isn't in the "Power User"
category?
1) Please!! Scores in the 10 to 30 range qualify
you as a "Piloteer".
Congratulations! Swell your chest with pride and
hold your head high! Piloteers are the heart and soul of the pilot
community :-)
2) Consider yourself lucky! Scores above 30 have
been deemed by the medical community to be a good indication of
palm-aholism and / or get-a-life-itis.
3) We hope you enjoyed seeing the fun that lies
ahead of you as your fondness/addiction for this device grows.
Please feel free to take the PUQ again anytime.
but most importantly:
4) DON'T TAKE THE SCORES TOO SERIOUSLY!!! This
is supposed to be fun :-)
